Hunter Braithwaite is a writer and strategic advisor working with cultural institutions, foundations, and museums. Over the past decade, he has led communications strategy for organizations including the Chicago Architecture Biennial, Ford Foundation, Hyundai Artlab, Prospect New Orleans, City of Miami Beach, Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, and United States Artists.

He received his MFA in fiction from New York University, and studied English literature and art history at the College of William and Mary. His writing has appeared in Artforum, Art in America, Bomb, the Brooklyn Rail, and the Paris Review Daily. He was a contributing editor at Modern Painters and the founding editor of the Miami Rail.

Hunter serves on the Board of Directors of Storefront for Art and Architecture. He is a member of the Professional Advisors to the International Art Market (PAIAM).

His watercolors have been exhibited at Embajada in San Juan, PR and Elizabeth Leach Gallery in Portland, OR. CULTURED named them a highlight of Spring 2025.
